John, a popular longtime member of the club, is one of our long distance specialists. He has completed marathons in Canada and in foreign climes including the US and Portugal.
John has always been a keen supporter of the club, including a spell as race director of the California Run.
Like most of us senior runners, John has slowed down somewhat in recent years but continues to get the kilometres in by walking.
John, we wish you many more active years on the trails.
NOTE: We also acknowledge Merv Hodgson who reached the grand old age of 88 on March 28th. Merv also continues to walk on the club social group runs. We may have to add an 85+ age category to our events to cover our two stalwarts John and Merv! Congrats and best wishes to both of you.
