This special event is sponsored by the Brockville Road Runners. It  is to honour the memory of the late Brockville native and TISS graduate, Kevin Dunbar. The event is principally a fundraiser for the Kevin Dunbar Memorial Scholarship Fund.

This special, open to all community event is meant to be non-competitive for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. No timing,  no awards, etc.

Venue: Thousand Islands Secondary School (TISS) Track

Course (out and back):

1 lap of the TISS track; exit to Tupper to Peden to Windsor Drive; north on Windsor to Laurier Blvd; turnaround and back to the track to the finish line.

Entry/Donation: $20;  all proceeds to the Kevin Dunbar Memorial Scholarship (KDMS) Fund

The scholarship fund was initiated by friends and fellow athletes of Kevin’s in the Kingston area. The scholarship is an annual grant to individuals from the Leeds & Grenville, Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington areas.

The first scholarship of $2500 was awarded in 2023 to Brockville Thousand Islands Secondary School (TISS) graduate Nathan Plant. The award was made at the annual Kingston RRs Limestone Mile on Canada Day, July 1.
