Chicago start and Boston finish.
A couple of local area runners had impressive runs over the past weekend in separate major US marathons.
Each of the marathons was the first since their Covid-cancelled events in 2019.
While October was the usual month for Chicago, Boston was moved from its traditional Monday in April, Patriots Day to October. Both runs were subject to Covid-19 safety restrictions.
Details are outlined below and heartiest congratulations to each of our marathon warriors.
